Job Description: Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Tech 1 Compensation: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on experience and shift Shifts Available: FT Day shift Position Summary The Maintenance Technician ensures the safety, functionality, and comfort of healthcare and residential facilities. This role supports operational continuity and helps maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities • Respond to unanticipated facility needs to minimize risk and service disruption. • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, systems, and equipment. • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and applicable codes. • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across multiple disciplines. • Receive on-the-job training in: • - Electrical: Lighting, outlets, switches, panels, medium-voltage systems. • - Plumbing: Fixtures, valves, faucets, toilets, drains. • - HVAC: Filters, coils, compressors, VFDs. • - Power Plant Systems: Boilers, chillers, water softeners. • - General Maintenance: Carpentry, painting, workspace modifications, fire/smoke wall repairs. • - Groundskeeping: Snow removal, exterior building upkeep. • - Patient Care Equipment: Fire detection systems, pneumatic tube systems. • Maintain inventory and documentation of parts and repairs. • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergencies. • Attend training sessions.
