We're partnering with a school district in Maricopa County, Arizona to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher - Resource for the school year. This position supports K-8 students in a setting through targeted, individualized instruction and inclusive practices.
Position Summary
The Special Education Resource Teacher will provide academic and organizational support to middle school students with IEPs, primarily through small-group instruction, push-in support, and collaboration with general education teachers. The role focuses on helping students access the general curriculum, build executive functioning skills, and make meaningful academic progress in an inclusive environment.

Position: Special Education Teacher - Resource K8
Location: In-person, Maricopa County, AZ
Hours: Full-time (standard school-day hours)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Pay: $51 - $55/ hour
School Year:
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and academic interventions in small-group and individual settings.
Deliver push-in support within general education classrooms to promote inclusion.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Collaborate with general education teachers to differentiate instruction and implement accommodations.
Support students with executive functioning, organization, and study skills.
Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instruction as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid Arizona Special Education Teacher certification (required).
Experience working with middle school students preferred.
Knowledge of resource service delivery models and inclusive instructional practices.
Strong understanding of IEP development, compliance, and progress monitoring.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
