Job Description
Design, implement, and support SAP technical infrastructure for Westernachers internal and clients SAP environments. Administer, configure, and troubleshoot SAP systems to ensure availability, security, and performance. Support deployments, upgrades, migrations, and ongoing system operations in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Duties include:
Analyze complex enterprise systems; evaluate technical architectures; design and validate scalable computing solutions; document technical designs and system configurations; and apply structured problem-solving and system design methodologies;
Install, configure, and administer SAP systems, including S/4HANA, BTP, ECC, BW, PO, Fiori, Solution Manager, and related components, across on-premise and cloud environments;
Perform day-to-day SAP Basis activities to keep systems running smoothly, including monitoring system health, applying updates, monitoring transports (CTS/TMS), tuning performance, and proactively addressing issues before they impact business operations;
Responsible for SAP HANA databases, which includes maintaining system configurations, performing backups and recoveries, applying patches, managing user access, and monitoring performance to ensure data availability, security, and reliability;
Support SAP projects through system refreshes, client copies, environment preparation, and technical validation activities;
Guide and support SAP system upgrades, support pack updates, and OS/DB migrations by planning, executing, and validating changes using SAP-recommended tools, ensuring system stability and minimizing downtime during system transitions;
Deploy and monitor SAP environments on cloud platforms (AWS and GCP), including landscape setup, network configuration, security, and performance optimization;
Configure and maintain SAP Solution Manager (7.2), including monitoring systems, ChaRM, reporting EWA, diagnostics, and configuring systems;
Provide technical support during project deployments, go-live cutovers, and hyper-care periods, resolving Basis and HANA-related issues;
Resolve technical issues and ensure stable SAP operations in collaboration with SAP functional teams, infrastructure teams, and business users;
Prepare technical documentation and architecture diagrams, and contribute to technical design discussions and pre-sales activities.
May telecommute from any US location.
Requires up to 80% travel to unanticipated client sites for SAP implementation.

Education and Experience Requirements
All requirements: A Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field followed by 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a computer systems analyst-related occupation.
Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:
5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, including installations, upgrades, kernel maintenance, system monitoring, performance tuning, and CTS/TMS transport management;
4 years of experience with SAP NetWeaver and ECC systems, including EHP upgrades, Solution Manager configuration, and client administration;
5 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, including system installation, conversion, and Fiori front-end configuration;
5 years of SAP HANA database administration experience, including sizing, patching, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and SDI/SLT configuration;
5 years of OS/DB migration experience, including homogeneous and heterogeneous migrations using SUM/DMO and SWPM tools;
3 years of cloud deployment experience, including SAP system implementation and administration on AWS or GCP;
3 years of experience with disaster-recovery planning, including DR testing, RTO/RPO validation, and system replication;
3 years of experience integrating SAP systems, including IDocs, ALE, RFC/BAPI, and third-party tools.
Travel Requirements
Requires up to 80% travel to unanticipated client sites for SAP implementation.
