ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Compliance Technician I to join our St. Louis, Missouri team. This role is responsible for environmental monitoring within an aseptic processing facility, including microbial testing, air and surface sampling, water sampling, and accurate data entry.


The ideal candidate has basic microbiology knowledge, strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a GMP laboratory environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform viable and non-viable air, surface, water, and compressed gas sampling.

  • Prepare and maintain environmental monitoring plates using aseptic techniques.

  • Perform environmental monitoring in the Aseptic Processing Area.

  • Monitor temperature, humidity, and differential pressure.

  • Review and maintain environmental monitoring data in validated systems.

  • Support GMP documentation, investigations, validations, smoke studies, and quality initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with GMP requirements.

  • Identify and report deviations and support corrective actions.

  • Communicate effectively and complete assignments within required timelines.

  • Follow all safety, health, security, and quality procedures.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School/GED

  • One year of general work experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or bachelors degree in biology, microbiology, or a related field.

  • Previous laboratory or environmental monitoring experience.


WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • Regular onsite attendance required.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
