Job Description:

Our client, a premier real estate law firm in NYC, is seeking an experienced Litigation LAA at their offices in midtown Manhattan. The position will pay an annual base salary of $95K to $100K plus a performance-based bonus and will allow for a hybrid work week (2-days remote) after 90-days of employment.

Our client is seeking a Litigation LAA with 5+ years' experience in commercial real estate. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with the ability to follow complex instructions, demonstrated resourcefulness and the ability to anticipate needs, take initiative and work independently. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. Excellent benefit package and compensation will be based on experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Answering telephones for attorneys in a professional manner; taking messages and forwarding calls to appropriate parties; processing incoming/outgoing mail; calendaring for attorneys; knowledge of office equipment such as printers, facsimile machines, photocopying machines and pdf scanners; opening new client matter accounts (conflict checks, intakes, retainer letter and file opening); organizing and maintaining electronic and paper client files and keeping filing up-to-date; entering attorneys' time.
  • Draft complex correspondence and documents (e.g., court forms, pleadings, e-mails responding to client inquiries) and anticipate attorneys' need for same.
  • Proofread, photocopy, assemble and distribute prepared materials, as necessary.
  • Transcribing, drafts or oral instructions, perform word processing on a variety of correspondence, reports, memoranda and legal documents as requested.
  • Respond to attorney/clients' needs with a sense of urgency, ensuring resolution with appropriate follow-up.
  • Relieve attorneys of administrative tasks.
  • Organize tasks for maximum efficiency and manage conflicting priorities effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information and procedures.


Qualifications:

5+ years experience working as a LAA or Paralegal

Microsoft Office

Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
