The YMCA of the Roses in York is seeking enthusiastic Swim Instructors to teach essential water safety and swimming skills to participants of all ages. We are determined: above all else, we are on a relentless quest to make our community stronger beginning with you.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Instructs swimming lessons as assigned in accordance with YMCA guidelines, following lesson plans provided for each class level.Develops and maintains positive relationships with program participants and parents/caregivers while supporting them in achieving their goals.Relays information regarding participants' progress as well as other programs to parents/caregivers, when appropriate, while maintaining a friendly and warm atmosphere.Maintains records as required (e.g., attendance, parent handbooks, certificates).Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.Attends staff meetings and in-service trainings when requested.
