As the team continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated, newly licensed or newer real estate agent to join us and learn directly from an experienced agent while helping support the team's growing rental business.
Role Description
This is a part-time, commission-based opportunity that is ideal for a newer NJ-licensed real estate agent who is hungry to learn, motivated to build a career, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in the Jersey City/Hoboken market.
The primary focus of this role will be supporting Cohen Residential's rental listings. When Erica takes on a rental listing, you will help get the property marketed, posted across appropriate platforms, respond to inquiries, coordinate showings, follow up with prospective renters, and help move qualified prospects through the rental process.
You'll work closely with Erica throughout the process, giving you the opportunity to learn not only how to successfully rent an apartment, but how to communicate with clients, manage leads, market properties, follow up effectively, and build relationships that lead to future business.
This is especially well suited for someone who is new to real estate and wants close, personal guidance from an experienced agent rather than being left to figure everything out on their own.
As you gain experience and demonstrate that you're ready, there will also be opportunities to work with buying and selling clients and begin building your own book of business with Erica's guidance and support.

Erica will train you on the systems and processes used within Cohen Residential and provide ongoing advice and mentorship as you grow.
Compensation & Growth
This is a commission-based position; there is no salary or hourly wage. Commission splits will be discussed and negotiated based on the role and transaction.
There is also an opportunity to take on additional administrative and operational work for the team for additional compensation, if desired.
The goal is not simply to have you help with rentals. The goal is to help you become a confident, capable real estate agent who can eventually build and manage your own clients and transactions.

Qualifications
Active NJ Real Estate Salesperson License
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Reliable transportation for local property visits and showings
Comfortable using technology, email, and digital platforms
Strong follow-through and attention to detail
Prior real estate experience is not required-a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are more important
