Job Description: Dance Instructor
Location/Onsite: Hanover, MA
Our client, a leading ballroom dance studio, is looking for a Dance Instructor to join their team in Hanover, working in person alongside a tight-knit crew of coaches.

Ballroom experience is preferred, and candidates should be comfortable confidently demonstrating traditional lead-and-follow techniques, including the lead role in partner dancing.

Pay: $16.25/hourly, commensurate with experience
6 months (25-30 lessons): $30-$35 per 45-min session

A Day in the Life of a Dance Instructor
You'll lead private and group dance classes throughout the week, guiding students on everything from a single event to a lifelong dance journey. You'll also show up for evening and weekend events, parties, and competitions that bring the studio community together. This role is about connection. You'll meet people from all walks of life and play a real part in enriching their lives through dance. A major part of the role is demonstrating partner-dance technique from the lead position and helping students understand timing, connection, frame, footwork, and movement through hands-on instruction.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching private and group ballroom dance lessons
Helping students prepare for performances, parties, and competitions
Attending select weekday evening and weekend studio events
Supporting students of all ages and skill levels in reaching their dance goals
Working standard studio hours, Monday-Friday, 11:45 AM-8:45 PM
Requirements and Qualifications:
1+ years of teaching or performing dance professionally (ballroom experience preferred)
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about dance
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong physical fitness and endurance to perform the role
A team-player mindset with a positive, can-do attitude
Open to coaching and feedback for continuous improvement
