Role Description This full-time, on-site Heavy Equipment Mechanic role is based in Odessa, TX. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and vehicles, including engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and power generation units. Daily responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing repair orders and service documentation, and ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory standards. The role also involves collaborating with operations staff to schedule equipment downtime, identifying parts and materials needed for repairs, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Field service work is a requirement.
Qualifications

Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and preventive Vehicle Maintenance, with the ability to follow service schedules and documentation standards.
Hands-on experience working with Heavy Equipment, including familiarity with engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and power generation units.
Proven ability in Equipment Repair, including component replacement, system adjustments, and testing to verify proper operation.
Effective Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using manuals, diagnostic tools, and technical data.
Relevant technical training or certification in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment technology, or a related field preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, with strong attention to detail and safety practices.
Physical ability to lift moderate to heavy loads, work in various weather conditions, and safely use tools and equipment.
Prior experience in industrial, construction, or power generation environments is beneficial, along with a valid driver's license.
