Role Description This full-time, on-site Boiler Technician role is based in the Bay Area in California. The Boiler Technician will install, maintain, and repair boilers and related water heating systems, including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Daily tasks include inspecting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, testing system performance, and documenting work performed. The role involves responding to service calls, diagnosing operational problems, replacing parts, and ensuring systems comply with safety standards and local codes. The Boiler Technician will interact with customers on-site, explain findings and recommended repairs, and work collaboratively with other team members to complete jobs efficiently and safely.
Qualifications

Strong knowledge of boiler systems, water heaters, and associated components, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams, and apply them in troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Understanding of safety procedures, building codes, and industry regulations related to boiler and heating operations.
Basic electrical and mechanical skills, including use of hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
Effective communication and customer service skills to explain issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations clearly.
Physical ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, lift moderate loads, and perform hands-on technical work throughout the day.
Ability to work independently, manage time and priorities, and maintain accurate service records and documentation.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training, trade school certification, or relevant boiler/heating licenses preferred.
Previous experience as a Boiler Technician or in a related HVAC or mechanical role is highly beneficial.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for traveling to customer sites in the Newark, CA area.
