Job Description
Job Description: Company Description Light Arc Capital Management is an investment firm focused on generating uncorrelated alpha from volatility markets with a long convexity bias. The firm seeks to deliver performance that is independent of traditional market directions by emphasizing sophisticated volatility strategies. Team members work in a data-driven, analytical environment that values disciplined risk management and innovative thinking. Light Arc offers exposure to complex financial products and strategies, providing opportunities for professional growth in a specialized area of the capital markets.
The Role
This is a high-visibility, generalist operations role at a lean, high-performance investment management firm. You will report directly to the Head of Operations/CCO and work alongside portfolio managers and traders, giving you meaningful front office exposure from day one. You will own operational processes end-to-end - from trade support and reconciliation to compliance administration and process automation - and have a direct hand in building the operational backbone of the firm.
If you are meticulous by nature, energized by building processes from scratch, and eager to apply technology to make operations smarter, this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
• Support daily trade operations including trade capture, reconciliation, and settlement across options and derivatives strategies
• Serve as a key liaison with prime brokers, fund administrators, and counterparties to resolve breaks and ensure accurate books and records
• Work closely with the Head of Operations/CCO on compliance tasks, regulatory correspondence, and firm-wide operational initiatives
• Maintain and improve operational workflows - identifying inefficiencies and building Python scripts or other tools to automate repetitive processes
• Manage and maintain data integrity across Enfusion (OMS/PMS) and Bloomberg
• Assist with investor reporting, onboarding documentation, and fund administrator coordination
• Support office administration and executive-level coordination as needed
• Produce clear, accurate internal documentation for operational procedures
What We're Looking For
Required
• 2-5 years of experience in financial services operations, ideally at a hedge fund, asset manager, prime broker, or fund administrator
• Exceptional attention to detail and a process-first mindset - you notice what others miss
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in Python or other scripting languages for process automation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strongly Preferred
• Experience with Enfusion (OMS/Portfolio Management) and/or Bloomberg Terminal
• Familiarity with options, derivatives, or other complex financial instruments
• Background in executive or office administration within a financial services context
Nice to Have
• Exposure to compliance, regulatory filings (e.g., Form PF, CPO-PQR), or CCO support functions
• Experience with AWS, SQL, or other data/infrastructure tooling
What You'll Get
• Direct mentorship from the Head of Operations/CCO of an established Greenwich hedge fund
• Early exposure to both front office and operations leadership
• A seat at the table - this is a small, high-caliber team where your contributions are immediately visible
• Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
• Full-time, on-site position in downtown Greenwich, CT
