Position Overview We are seeking an energetic, creative, and skilled Advanced Guitar and Piano/Keyboards Instructor to join our team. You will teach beginner to advanced students ranging from kids to adults. Beyond teaching classic fundamentals, you will guide students through pop, rock, blues, and funk arrangements, teaching them how to play solo and with the group.
Key Responsibilities

Teach private lessons tailored to student skill levels and goals.
Combine foundational music theory (scales, chords, sight-reading) with modern performance techniques.
Prepare students for group band rehearsals and live seasonal showcase performances.
Create a supportive, fun, and inclusive learning environment that keeps students engaged.
Communicate regularly with parents and students regarding progress, practice goals, and performance readiness.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.

Qualifications & Requirements

Musical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in guitar or piano and digital keyboards across multiple styles (Rock, Pop, Blues, Funk, Jazz).
Teaching Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience teaching music (private lessons or group settings preferred).
Gear Literacy: Familiarity with digital synthesizers, organ drawbars, MIDI control, and modern keyboard rigs, plus guitar amps, pedals, and tone control.
Stage Presence: Live performance or band experience is strongly preferred.
Soft Skills: Patient, engaging communication style with high energy and ability to connect with young musicians.
Background Check: Ability to pass a standard criminal background check.
