Job Brief
KNOLL America is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our industry-leading conveying, filtration, and automation systems throughout North America. This role is ideal for a mechanically and electrically inclined professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, traveling to customer sites, and providing world-class technical service. Comprehensive training is provided both in the United States and at our headquarters in Germany.

Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical and electro-mechanical experience to perform installations, planned inspections and maintenance, as well as on-call troubleshooting on KNOLL's chip-handling machines, conveyors, and filtration systems.

Travel Requirements
Travel throughout North America.
Frequent overnight travel based on customer requirements, project schedules, and service demands.
Valid driver's license & passport required; ability to travel internationally for training & business purposes.

Responsibilities
Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, testing, and repair of KNOLL equipment at customer sites.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement effective solutions.
Provide technical support and exceptional customer service during scheduled visits and emergency service calls.
Complete accurate service documentation, including reports, completed work, findings, and recommendations.
Follow all company safety standards, field service procedures, and operating protocols.
Utilize supplied tools, and field service software to efficiently plan and execute assigned work.
Reliable personal vehicle for business travel (Car allowance for personal vehicle use)
Collaborate with engineering, technical support, and internal teams to resolve customer issues and share best practices.
Evaluate customer equipment and operational needs, providing recommendations for maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and spare parts.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and reliable service.

Requirements
Proven field service experience in similar or related industry (3+ years preferred).
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to adjust work schedules based on customer requirements, equipment downtime, and service demands.
Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
Technical degree or certification preferred.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently without supervision.
