Role Description The Field Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in Von Ormy, TX. This position is responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing fuel tanks, generator enclosures, and related equipment at customer locations and company facilities. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues, conducting routine inspections, and ensuring systems operate safely and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The technician will read and interpret technical drawings and manuals, document service activities, prepare reports, and communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors and clients. The role also involves collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams, maintaining tools and equipment, following all safety procedures, and occasionally supporting customer training or demonstrations on proper use and maintenance.
Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on industrial equipment, generators, tanks, or related systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and work orders.
Basic electrical knowledge, including safe handling of power systems and familiarity with troubleshooting methods.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment in a field or shop environment.
Commitment to workplace safety, knowledge of relevant safety standards, and adherence to company procedures.
Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, supervisors, and team members, and for completing clear service documentation.
Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial field is preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to job sites as needed.
Ability to lift and move equipment as required and work in outdoor and industrial environments.
Previous field service, maintenance, or fabrication experience in power generation or similar industries is a plus.
