Aquaworks is a locally owned pool equipment repair company serving Palm Beach County and surrounding areas. With over 10 years of experience in the pool industry, we specialize in troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing pool equipment, including pumps, motors, heaters, filters, automation systems, salt systems, lighting, and plumbing. We have built our reputation around knowledgeable service, quality work, and helping customers find the right solutions for their pools.
We are looking for a Pool Repair Technician preferably with hands-on pool industry experience and a basic understanding of how pool equipment works. You do not need to already be an expert repair technician. If you have experience cleaning or servicing pools, understand the equipment, and are mechanically inclined, we are willing to help you develop your troubleshooting and repair skills.
The right person will have a strong problem-solving mentality, enjoy figuring out how things work, and take pride in getting the job done correctly. This is also a customer-facing role, so you should be comfortable speaking with homeowners, explaining equipment issues, and recommending appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot pool equipment issues
Repair and replace pool pumps, motors, and related components
Diagnose and repair pool heaters
Identify and repair equipment-related plumbing leaks
Troubleshoot pool automation and control systems
Diagnose and replace salt cells and salt chlorination system components
Identify the cause of equipment problems and recommend appropriate solutions
Test equipment after repairs to confirm proper operation
Explain equipment issues and recommended solutions clearly and professionally to customers
Document service calls, findings, repairs, and recommendations
Maintain an organized work vehicle, tools, and equipment
Follow company safety and service procedures
Provide a professional customer experience from arrival through completion of the service call
Qualifications
Previous experience working in the pool service, pool maintenance, or pool repair industry
Experience cleaning and servicing pools with a working knowledge of pool equipment is acceptable
Basic understanding of pool pumps, filters, plumbing, salt systems, heaters, and other common pool equipment
Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning equipment troubleshooting and repair
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Willingness and ability to learn how to use tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
Comfortable communicating directly with homeowners and customers
Ability to explain problems and recommendations professionally
Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with outdoor pool service and equipment repair

Role Description The Pool Repair Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Boca Raton, FL. This role is responsible for diagnosing and repairing pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and related systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting equipment, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and completing repairs or replacements according to company standards. The technician will travel to customer locations, communicate clearly with clients about findings and recommended solutions, and document all work performed. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures, and collaborating with team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
Qualifications
Strong equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective repairs.
Experience with appliance or mechanical repair, preferably including pool or HVAC equipment, and comfort working with tools and basic electrical components.
Commitment to customer satisfaction, with professional communication skills and the ability to explain technical information in clear, simple terms.
Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and follow safety guidelines and company procedures.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to lift moderate weight and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Prior experience in pool service, maintenance, or a related trade is preferred but not required; relevant certifications are a plus.
