SUMMARY: To wash and iron linens and towels. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards. May be 16 years of age or older.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate industrial laundry equipment to perform a variety of duties including but not limited to washing, drying, sorting, folding and inspecting items for wear and tear
Ensure laundry area is clean and organized
Sort and prioritize incoming laundry
Stock carts and storage areas with linen and terry and maintain stock and inventory
Assist other staff as needed, including cleaning hotel rooms

Previous housekeeping or laundry experience

Treasure Island guest service training
Bloodborne Pathogens training
Laundry safety orientation
Any position-related training as determined by department manager
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand for long periods of time with moderate amounts of walking and occasional sitting
Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
Must be able to reach and twist routinely
Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
Must have the ability to independently lift up to 40 pounds routinely
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Must have good eye hand coordination
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in the laundry area, which includes exposure to cleaning chemicals and fumes, cigarette fumes and extreme heat; May have to go onto the gaming floor, which has flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
