Job Description
Position: Music Instructor
Location: P.S. 91 (Ridgewood/Glendale, NY
Pay Rate: $20 an hour
Hours: 2:15 - 5:30pm (time can vary on Select Holidays and monthly meetings)
Draw up, plan & implement engaging lesson plans with clear learning objectives pertaining to the subject of Music - must be submitted in a timely manner and follow program's curriculum format
Introduce students to basic music concepts (rhythm, tempo, pitch, melody, instruments, etc.)
Lead interactive activities such as singing, movement, rhythm games, and beginner instrument exploration
-Encourage student creativity through songwriting, performance, and collaborative projects
-Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students can express themselves
-Develop and direct showcases as part of the program curriculum when we see fit
-Manage classroom behavior and ensure student engagement and participation
-Collaborate with program staff to align music activities with program goals
-Uphold the programs standards & protocols
