Job Description: Job Description Overview: Our client, a leading employee-owned engineering consulting firm specializing in power, renewable energy, transportation, and water infrastructure, is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to support utility, renewable energy, and power delivery projects. This role serves as a technical lead, applying advanced engineering principles and industry best practices to the design and execution of substation projects. The Senior Substation Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and leading complex phases of engineering work while providing technical guidance, ensuring quality deliverables, and supporting successful project execution. ABET accredited program or equivalent requiredPE License required10+ years of engineering experienceProficient with substation protection and control design and industry standardsCapable of reviewing and producing design drawings, including one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel elevationsAbility to perform AC & DC substation studiesCapable of substation SCADA, communications, and network engineering a plusKnowledge of substation electrical physical (apparatus) equipment a plusExperience with commissioning and/or fi eld engineering time a plusKnowledge of basic relay settings a plusKnowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) is a plus.Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)Ability to work in a high-paced team environmentDemonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvementUp to 15% of travel requiredValid driver's license preferredMust have permanent authorization to work in the US Work sponsorship is not available at this time.
