We need sitters who live in Lake Highlands, Lakewood, and East Dallas. DFW Pet Sitting Services has been caring for Dallas pets since 2003, and our model depends on sitters who live in the neighborhoods they serve. About 200 W-2 sitters, 8,000 client families, and every sitter within roughly 5 miles of home.
What the job is
Short in-home visits for dogs and cats, 25 minutes each. You feed, refresh water, handle the litter box or a potty break, give medication if the pet is on any, walk the dog when that's part of the plan, and spend the rest of the time being good company. It's broader than dog walking. Most homes here are houses with yards, with some apartments and townhomes mixed in.
How it works
A client near you books. We text you the details.
You say yes or no. Nothing is assigned to you automatically.
If yes, you meet the household in person first, and you're paid for that meeting.
From then on, that client is yours. When they book again, it comes to you.
If you ever can't make a visit, we line up the backup. You keep the client.
Schedule
Be available mornings, middays, and evenings. You will not work all three every day. Clients travel when they travel, so some weeks are full and some are light. Midday is where we're thinnest and where consistency matters most, because clients want the same sitter at the same hour each workday.
Pay
$12.50 per 25-minute visit, which works out to $25 an hour of visit time. That's the floor for one or two pets within 5 miles. Most households have more pets than that, so a typical visit runs $12.50 to about $16, and medication, extra miles, holidays, and same-day requests are added on top. Client meetings and key trips are paid at the same rate. W-2, taxes withheld, background check on us.
