Your Role as the Housekeeper Americare Senior Living is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, visitors, and team members. In this role, you'll perform cleaning and sanitation procedures that ensure resident rooms and common areas meet prescribed standards of cleanliness and comfort. This position plays an important role in resident satisfaction, safety, and overall quality of life. Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces according to established standards. This role works collaboratively with other team members, communicates effectively with supervisors, and follows safety, infection control, and OSHA guidelines. This role may also be known as: Housekeeper, Environmental Services Aide, EVS Aide, or Facility Housekeeping Aide. What You'll DoPerform cleaning assignments to ensure resident rooms and common areas meet cleanliness standardsReview work schedules and communicate with coworkers regarding daily assignmentsAdvise supervisor upon completion of assigned tasksConduct terminal cleaning of resident rooms in preparation for new admissionsMaintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, offices, and shared spacesReport maintenance needs, repairs, or equipment malfunctions to supervisorInvestigate and respond to housekeeping-related concerns or complaints as directedInventory housekeeping supplies and notify supervisor of supply needsMaintain work carts and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and safe conditionEnsure all chemicals are properly labeled in accordance with OSHA standardsUse appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is in good conditionFollow the Hazard Communication Program and maintain familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Attend required in-service training and departmental meetingsComplete documentation related to assignments, reports, and timekeepingCollaborate with other departments to improve service and operational efficiencyWhat You BringQualificationsEducation & AgeGrade school education requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageSkills & AbilitiesAbility to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelinesAttention to detail and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProfessional communication and willingness to take directionCommitment to maintaining a clean, resident-centered environmentPhysical DemandsStand, walk, bend, and change positions frequentlyLift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment as neededPush and pull carts and equipment safelyUse hands and arms for reaching, stooping, and bendingSafety RequirementsFollow OSHA guidelines and facility safety proceduresProper use of PPE when handling chemicals or equipmentReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationParticipate in company drug testing procedures Join Americare Senior Living and help create a clean, comfortable environment where residents feel at home.
