Barlow Ford is looking for an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician who wants more than just a job. WHAT THE A-TECH WILL DO

The A-Level Technician at Barlow Ford will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while providing the highest level of workmanship and customer service.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical concerns;
• Perform advanced diagnostics using manufacturer and shop diagnostic equipment;
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently;
• Perform preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections;
• Diagnose drivability, electrical, engine, transmission, HVAC, and other vehicle concerns;
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment;
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings accurately;
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership policies;
• Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts, and other Technicians;
• Stay current with technology, systems, and repair procedures;
• Help mentor and support other technicians when needed;
• Complete required training;
• Take pride in delivering quality repairs and getting the job done right the first time.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who brings experience, professionalism, and a positive attitude to the shop.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as an A-Level Automotive Technician;
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills;
• Experience with electrical and computerized vehicle systems;
• Strong mechanical knowledge;
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently;
• High attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Strong work ethic and dependability;
• Commitment to quality workmanship;
• Valid driver's license in good standing;
• ASE certifications preferred;
• Ford certifications are a plus.

Work Environment: Exposure to various weather conditions including hot and cold temperatures. May be exposed to chemicals and noise levels that can be distracting.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; Must have the ability to read, write, and interpret documents; Must be able to hear and communicate effectively with visitors and employees; Must have the ability to operate a variety of small hand and power tools.
