Poquet Auto is seeking a dependable Light Duty / Oil Change Technician to join our team in Golden Valley, Minnesota. This position is ideal for someone looking to start or grow a career in the automotive industry. The technician will perform routine maintenance services while learning proper repair procedures in a professional, well-equipped shop environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Inspect vehicles for basic safety and maintenance needs
- Replace filters, wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs
- Check and maintain proper tire pressure
- Perform courtesy inspections and report findings to Service Advisors or Technicians
- Safely lift and support vehicles using proper equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and shop policies
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous automotive experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and grow within the automotive field
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
