Job Description


Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician III to join their team. This is an onsite position where you will play a critical role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems for commercial and industrial clients. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of a wide range of HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, and various types of air conditioning units.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct regular maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including cleaning coils, replacing filters and belts, and lubricating components.

  • Diagnose and repair defective HVAC components, wiring issues, and equipment malfunctions, focusing on fan coils, chillers, and other related systems.

  • Perform detailed inspections to identify potential issues and prevent unexpected system failures.

  • Analyze chiller trend data to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.

  • Lead and manage the retrofit and rebuild of HVAC systems, providing guidance and training to junior technicians.

  • Document and report on billing, inventory, and service interactions accurately and promptly.

  • Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Participate in continuous education and training to enhance your skills and stay updated on industry advancements.

  • Adhere to all safety standards and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibilities, or equivalent education and experience.

  • High School Diploma or GED; HVAC certification from a technical school preferred.

  • Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.

  • EPA approved Universal Technician Certification.

  • Ability to support emergency call rotations as required.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in the commercial HVAC industry.

  • Proven ability to mentor and train junior technicians.

  • OSHA 10 certification within 90 days of hire.

  • Current first aid and CPR certification.

  • Tech III: 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or
    7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and
    experience

  • Tech II: 3+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or
    5+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and
    experience
