Adjusts, services and repairs cars, trucks, and buses.
General Accountabilities
Performs a full range of skilled automotive repair work, such as minor and major tune-ups, electrical and computer systems, servicing, and engine overhauls.
Inspects automotive equipment to determine the corrective action necessary.
Repairs automotive equipment.
Instructs operators in the proper use and servicing of their equipment.
Operates and maintains automotive shop equipment.
Performs minor welding and brazing work.
Keeps records and creates reports pertaining to repairs performed.
Notifies Service Advisors immediately of any additional problems with the vehicle.
Prepares detailed parts request forms, and presents to parts' department.
Upon completion of the requested repairs, test drives unit and makes sure there are no finger prints on the unit; parks unit and returns keys to the Service Advisor.
