Due to increased production, Northern Star (Pogo) LLC has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an Underground Miner/Bullgang at our world-class Pogo operation in Alaska on a rotational camp schedule.

What's the role?
The Mobile Equipment Electrician reports to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, and the primary role is to carry out electrical and instrumentation installation and maintenance of machinery as directed by the Supervisor within the Maintenance Department.
Duties include:
- Perform a high standard of auto electrical execution, all work completed in a safe and timely manner.
- Diagnose and fault-find electrical systems and components.
- Provide technical advice and support to fellow Maintenance Team members.
- Ensure workmanship through meeting standards, tolerances and testing of equipment prior to handover.
- Ensure effective communication and handover between crews with regard to maintenance plans and issues.
- Ensure correct history is collated and effectively recorded.
- Identify correct parts and equipment for all planned and unplanned jobs as necessary.
- Assist Mobile Maintenance and Light Vehicle teams as required with mechanical repairs.
- Ensure all tasks and procedures complies with environmental standards.
- Continuously review scheduled jobs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Highlight equipment defects and issues effectively utilising the maintenance management process.
- Rigorous cost management - avoid rework and the unnecessary use of parts and services.
- Ensure all safety related activities are undertaken in accordance with Company policy and MSHA requirements including Hazard IDs, pre-start checks, pre-start meetings, and incident reporting.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas.
- Other duties as required.
