WWTP Construction & Electrical Superintendent
Location: Wildwood, FL
Compensation: $110,000-$140,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Lead Critical Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Projects
We are hiring an experienced Water/Wastewater Construction Superintendent to lead major treatment plant and municipal infrastructure projects from planning through completion.
This is a hands-on field leadership position requiring both extensive WWTP infrastructure construction management and practical electrical installation experience within water or wastewater treatment plants.
To be considered, candidates must have:
- 10+ years of hands-on water or wastewater treatment plant construction experience
- 5+ years of superintendent or field leadership experience
- Hands-on electrical installation experience within a WWTP environment
What You'll Do
- Lead daily construction operations on water and wastewater treatment plant projects
- Manage projects valued at approximately $10M-$20M
- Supervise crews, subcontractors, schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials
- Oversee electrical, mechanical, process piping, underground utility, and treatment equipment scopes
- Support hands-on electrical installation involving pumps, motors, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, instrumentation, generators, and power distribution
- Manage projects from estimating, bidding, and preconstruction through startup, commissioning, and closeout
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, vendors, and project managers
- Review blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Resolve field challenges while protecting productivity, schedules, budgets, and quality
- Lead safety meetings and maintain compliance with OSHA and company requirements
- Mentor field personnel and build accountable, high-performing teams
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of water or wastewater treatment plant construction experience
- 5+ years as a Superintendent or construction field leader
- Proven experience managing WWTP new construction, expansions, retrofits, or rehabilitation projects
- Hands-on experience installing electrical systems within treatment plants
- Working knowledge of pumps, motors, MCCs, VFDs, controls, instrumentation, generators, and power distribution
- Experience with process piping, blowers, lift stations, underground utilities, and treatment equipment
- Experience leading projects valued at $10M-$20M
- Strong background in estimating, bidding, takeoffs, procurement, scheduling, and project planning
- Ability to read construction drawings, electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Excel and construction project management systems
