100% Remote W2 Contract Role
90 days Contract (potential extensions)

About the Role:
GTN Technical Staffing is sourcing a Leave Administration Specialist on behalf of Our Insurance Client, one of the world's largest privately held insurance brokerage firms. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for employee leave-of-absence programs, ensuring compliant, accurate, and empathetic administration of all leave types across a complex, multi-state workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer all leave-of-absence programs including FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, STD, LTD, military leave, personal leave, and state-mandated leaves across multiple jurisdictions
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers on leave inquiries, providing clear guidance on eligibility, entitlements, and return-to-work processes
Initiate, track, and manage leave cases from intake through closure using HRIS and case management systems
Ensure timely and accurate communications to employees, managers, HR Business Partners, and third-party carriers
Partner with Payroll to coordinate pay continuity, benefit deductions, and premium reconciliation during leaves
Monitor and audit leave cases for compliance with federal and state regulations; flag and escalate issues proactively
Coordinate reasonable accommodation requests in collaboration with HR and Legal
Maintain accurate and confidential leave records; generate reports and metrics as needed
Stay current on changes to federal, state, and local leave laws and recommend process updates accordingly
Support benefits and HR team initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of dedicated leave administration experience in a corporate or third-party administrator (TPA) environment
Deep working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, and state-specific leave laws (CA, NY, NJ, WA, MA, CT, OR preferred)
Experience managing concurrent caseloads in a high-volume environment
Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday, SAP, or similar) and case management tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex policy with empathy and clarity
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fully remote setting
Preferred Qualifications:
CLMS (Certified Leave Management Specialist) or PHR/SPHR certification
Prior experience in the insurance, financial services, or professional services industry
Familiarity with integrated absence management programs
Experience supporting a workforce of 3,000+ employees
