Experienced Commercial Journeyman Electricians

Craftsmen Contractors is seeking skilled Commercial Journeyman Electricians for long-term work in the New Orleans area. This is for a new commercial construction project (2-year project) working day shifts from Monday through Friday. Will need to have at least 3 years of commercial experience.

Commercial Journeyman Electrician pay rate: $22 - $24/hour depending on experience

No per diem is offered.

Weekly pay by direct deposit.

Responsibilities:

• Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures for new construction
• Read blueprints
• Install conduit, raceway, and cable tray systems
• Troubleshoot motor and control systems
• Bend conduit and pull/run wire
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
• Adhere to all quality and safety codes

Qualifications:

• Previous commercial electrical experience - 3 years required
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
• Electricians must be able to read drawings and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Will need to have basic hand tools, ALL PPE, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to bend conduit.
• Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
• Will need to verify past electrical experience.
