About the roleRestoration Network is a fire, water, and storm restoration company scaling our Mitigation and Reconstruction divisions. As our Staff Accountant, you'll own the day-to-day accuracy of our books and turn financial data into the reporting that drives decisions at the leadership level. This is a project-based, job-costed business. Every dollar ties back to a specific loss, claim, and completion. So precision at the transaction level directly protects our margins. You'll work closely with Operations, Construction, and leadership to keep our financial engine running clean as we grow.Compensation:$62,500 - $72,500 yearlyResponsibilities:Own accounts payable and accounts receivable, including progress billing, insurance-claim invoicing, deductibles, and supplementsPerform job costing and maintain work-in-progress (WIP) schedules so each project's true margin is visible in real timeReconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts monthly to guarantee accuracy across both divisionsSupport the monthly close and produce division-level P&L and gross-margin reporting for leadershipReconcile estimating and production data (Xactimate, PSA) against the general ledger to catch leakage before it hits the P&LPrepare and share financial reports with leadership to enable informed, timely decision-makingMaintain compliance with financial regulations, insurance-industry requirements, and internal controlsIdentify and implement process improvements that make our accounting cleaner, faster, and more scalableQualifications:3+ years of accounting experience; construction, restoration, or other project-based/job-costed industry strongly preferredProficiency with QuickBooks Online (or comparable GL software); experience with construction PSA platforms and/or Xactimate is a plusWorking knowledge of job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion conceptsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent hands-on experienceMeticulous, organized, and self-directed; you catch the $200 miscode before it becomes a $20,000 problemComfortable in a fast-moving, growth-stage company where processes are still being builtHow to applyWe read every application, and we want to know you read the ad.Start your cover note with the number you'd want to see first thing every Monday morning to know the business is healthy - and one sentence on why that number.There's no single right answer.
