Job Title: Residential Interior Painter

We are looking for hardworking, detail-oriented individuals to join our residential interior paint crew. In this role, you will prep, prime, and paint living spaces across Southeast Michigan-transforming client homes year-round in a climate-controlled environment. You will receive paid on-the-job training to master high-end trade skills that translate directly into your professional and personal life. We operate in an inclusive, safety-focused, and results-driven environment with clear pathways for upward mobility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mask and protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and non-painted surfaces thoroughly with drop cloths, plastic sheeting, and painter's tape.
  • Execute clean interior prep work: spackling nail holes, patching minor drywall imperfections, sanding surfaces flush, and caulking trim/baseboards.
  • Apply premium interior paints, primers, and stains to walls, ceilings, doors, and trim using brushes and rollers.
  • Cut in sharp, clean lines along ceilings, baseboards, and trim without bleed-through.
  • Ensure consistent, even coverage and smooth finishes free of lap marks, drips, or roller texture flaws.
  • Maintain a tidy, organized footprint in client living spaces throughout the workday and execute a complete vacuum/cleanup at wrap-up.
  • Clean, care for, and store manual tools (brushes, rollers, trays, and cut pots) daily.

Job Requirements & Physical Demands

  • Ladders & Step Stools: Comfortable working from step ladders and 6- to 24-foot extension ladders to reach high ceilings, stairwells, and foyer walls.
  • Mobility & Endurance: Ability to bend, kneel, reach overhead, and remain on your feet for an 8-10 hour shift.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver paint buckets, tools, and ladders weighing up to 40-50 pounds.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for travel between job sites.
  • Professionalism: Punctual, respectful of homeowners' personal spaces, and committed to quiet, courteous job site conduct.

Core Values & Professional Standards

  • Respect: You treat the homeowner, the crew, and the space with utmost care.
  • Action: You lead by example and take initiative on prep and site organization.
  • Growth: You approach every home as a canvas to refine your craft and build trade expertise.
  • Service: You hold your work to high standards-especially the details only you will see.
