Job DescriptionJob Description

Senior-Level Construction Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Piping & Plumbing Workforce Manager / Labor Coordinator to oversee manpower planning and labor allocation across multiple commercial piping and plumbing projects.

This is not an administrative scheduling position. We are looking for someone who knows the piping and plumbing trades, understands how crews are built, and can make smart manpower decisions based on project schedules, labor budgets, skill levels, certifications, and field needs.

The position works directly with the Vice President of Construction and supports Project Managers, General Foremen, and Foremen across active and upcoming projects.

Compensation

$110,000-$130,000 annual base salary + bonus

Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Be Responsible For

You will take ownership of piping and plumbing manpower planning across the company, including:

  • Managing the master piping and plumbing manpower plan
  • Allocating and transferring employees between projects
  • Matching personnel to projects based on experience, skill level, certifications, location, workload, and crew balance
  • Reviewing weekly manpower forecasts with Project Managers and General Foremen
  • Ensuring manpower plans remain within project labor budgets
  • Approving piping and plumbing timecards
  • Coordinating mobilizations, demobilizations, and employee transfers
  • Forecasting manpower needs six weeks out and developing longer-range workforce plans
  • Identifying hiring needs before projects become short-handed
  • Coordinating Foreman and General Foreman coverage
  • Monitoring overtime, bench time, labor utilization, productivity, and unnecessary transfers
  • Maintaining employee classifications, qualifications, and credential status
  • Coordinating required training and credentialing with Safety and Operations
  • Resolving competing manpower requests and escalating major staffing issues when necessary

What We're Looking For

The right candidate will have a strong background in commercial plumbing and/or mechanical piping and understand how manpower decisions impact production, schedules, and profitability.

You should be comfortable with:

  • Commercial plumbing and mechanical piping operations
  • Field crew structures and trade classifications
  • Plumbing, piping, and medical-gas qualifications and certifications
  • Labor budgets and cost codes
  • Manpower forecasting and workforce planning
  • Construction schedules, project phasing, milestones, and mobilizations
  • Evaluating field employees based on skill, productivity, certifications, and project fit
  • Managing manpower across multiple projects at the same time
  • Working directly with Project Managers, General Foremen, Foremen, and senior operations leadership
  • Procore and workforce/labor-planning systems

Who Should Apply?

This could be an excellent next step for an experienced:

Plumbing Superintendent • Piping Superintendent • General Foreman • Plumbing/Piping Operations Manager • Workforce/Labor Manager

If you've spent years in the field and understand who you need, where you need them, when you need them, and what that manpower is costing the project, we want to talk to you.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is a high-impact leadership position with visibility across multiple projects and direct interaction with the Vice President of Construction. Your performance will be measured by manpower forecast accuracy, labor utilization, overtime control, staffing stability, hiring effectiveness, productivity, leadership coverage, and employee retention and development.

Base Salary: $110,000-$130,000 + Bonus
