In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your energetic approach will help facilitate smooth communication between customers and technicians, ensuring a positive service experience. You will be responsible for accurately documenting vehicle issues, preparing estimates, ordering parts and coordinating repairs.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
Schedule appointments
Clearly explain repair procedures, estimate costs, and outline recommended services using automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge
Prepare detailed auto estimates for services
Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs
Manage cash handling accurately for service transactions and process payments efficiently
Maintain comprehensive records of all service orders, customer interactions, and repair details for future reference
Answer 2 line phone
Qualifications
Previous service writer experience or auto service background with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
Experience in auto estimating software and automotive service writing is highly desirable
Knowledge of cars and car part/repair terminology
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
