Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Materials Technician to join our team starting in March of 2026. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in testing the quality of materials used in various projects, particularly in construction. This position involves conducting quality inspections, collecting test data, and performing quality control measures to support project success.
Duties
Conduct thorough quality inspections of materials to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Perform quality control tests on materials, including asphalt, concrete, soil, and other construction-related components.
Collect and analyze testing data related to material properties and performance.
Assist in the preparation of reports detailing findings from inspections and tests.
Support construction site activities by conducting inspections and ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications.
Build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers to facilitate effective communication regarding material quality.
Requirements
Proven experience in quality inspection or quality control within a construction environment is preferred.
Familiarity with construction inspection processes and concrete techniques is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members, contractors, and clients.
A background in construction or material testing is a plus but not mandatory.
Must be able to pass drug screen.
