Accountant

Client: Leading Entertainment Firm Title: Accountant Duration: 06 Months (Potential Extension/Conversion) Location: San Francisco, CA 94107 - Onsite Pay Range: ($40 - $45) on an hourly basis Description: Support revenue accounting for digital and streaming business units, focusing on revenue recognition, contract/order review, and month-end close. Responsibilities: Review contracts and sales orders for accurate revenue recognition. Perform month-end journal entries, revenue calculations, accruals, and reconciliations. Ensure revenue is recorded accurately under GAAP and SOX controls. Work with Sales and Client Services to resolve order and revenue discrepancies. Resolve sales-order data issues and ensure accurate ERP/Oracle processing. Analyze revenue variances and support process improvements and audits. Must-Haves: Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance - Must Have 2-5 years of accounting experience. Revenue accounting/revenue recognition experience preferred. Ora_cle or major ERP experience. Intermediate/advanced Excel - VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables. Journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close experience. Strong organization, communication, and deadline-management skills. Preferred: Advertising/media industry experience. Operative One and Salesforce. Strong analytical/problem-solving skills. Close attention to detail.
