Lakeportside Mind Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in Santa Ana, California. This full-time role will be integral in assisting our patients on their journey to regain mobility and improve their overall functional abilities. You will work within a supportive environment focusing primarily on orthopedic rehabilitation, ensuring that each patient receives personalized, evidence-based care tailored to their specific needs.

Our multidisciplinary team includes fellow physical therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who collaborate to deliver top-notch healthcare services focused on patients with private medical insurance.
Work Environment
This position requires onsite work at our rehabilitation center located in Santa Ana, CA. You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to promoting health and well-being in the community. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while delivering comprehensive therapeutic services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their rehabilitation objectives and tailor individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs and goals.
- Manage a patient load effectively, ensuring that each patient receives one-on-one treatment on an hourly basis to enhance their overall care experience.
- Implement evidence-based treatment protocols, incorporating a variety of techniques aimed at promoting mobility and improving functional outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting care plans and treatment modalities based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
- Provide education and coaching to patients to motivate them throughout their rehabilitation journey and encourage adherence to prescribed therapies.
- Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to optimize care continuity and enhance patient outcomes, participating in team meetings to discuss patient progress and strategies.
- Promote a healthy lifestyle by developing fitness and wellness programs that address specific patient needs while minimizing reliance on medications or surgical interventions.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT to manage patient documentation and progress, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, presenting a range of conditions from postoperative recovery to chronic pain management. Many of our patients are active individuals looking to regain their strength and functionality, and your role will be crucial in empowering them to achieve their personal wellness goals.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred.
- Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
- Demonstrated competence in manual therapy techniques and the development of individualized exercise regimens.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to cultivate strong therapeutic relationships with patients.
- No disciplinary actions or board complaints against licensure, ensuring a clean professional record.
- Proficient in using EMR systems, specifically WebPT, to document treatments and track patient progress effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with current best practices in physical therapy interventions and rehabilitation strategies.
- Experience with patient education and the utilization of motivational techniques to encourage adherence to treatment plans.
Compensation and Benefits
This role comes with a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
