Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical assessments to establish patient needs and rehabilitation goals.
- Design and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative rehabilitation techniques.
- Provide a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities aimed at pain relief and functional restoration.
- Monitor patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercise regimens, and lifestyle adjustments that support recovery.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will primarily focus on an outpatient population dealing with orthopedic conditions. This includes patients recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, or engaged in post-injury rehabilitation. You will be instrumental in guiding each individual through their unique rehabilitation journey, helping them regain functional mobility and independence.
Qualifications
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in New Jersey.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; DPT preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy settings.
- Proficient in manual therapy techniques and soft tissue mobilization.
- Strong evaluative and diagnostic skills suitable for a Direct Access clinical environment.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of two years is required, candidates with advanced training in orthopedic physical therapy or those with specialty certifications (such as OCS) are highly regarded. Experience in developing community outreach programs or leading health workshops is also a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
