Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Technology Leader - Hybrid position with a Major Financial Services Firm located in Boston, MA. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Compensation: $95.00 - $99.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Technology Leader to join our client's Investment Technology team. This is a senior role combining deep engineering with leadership accountability, where you will remain hands-on in code and architecture while leading a distributed team. The focus will be on modernizing and supporting investment platforms with scalable cloud-native architecture, full stack delivery, and robust engineering practices to support Portfolio Management and Trading. Key Responsibilities: Define and drive the technology strategy aligned with Investments business goals Lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives that drive transformation in investment technology Lead and directly contribute to full stack application development using modern technologies Design and implement scalable, secure APIs with strong monitoring and logging frameworks Lead the development of rich UI components using frameworks such as React or Angular Manage AWS-based infrastructure components and CI/CD pipelines (CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, etc) Own the production environment and application operations Collaborate with business and product teams to shape requirements and translate them into technical specifications and delivery plans Interface with strategic vendors for issue resolution, feature enhancements, and to ensure robust system integration Provide direction, mentorship, and technical leadership to a distributed team Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, engineering excellence, and ownership Primary Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 15+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in a senior lead / hands-on leadership role Strong command of full stack development: JavaScript (React/Angular), Node.js or Java/.NET/Python, and SQL Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services (Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, etc) Proficiency with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CloudFormation Strong API development and integration experience Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Selenium) Proven ability to lead teams and drive cross-functional delivery in a matrixed, global environment Demonstrated ability to remain hands-on in code and architecture while operating at a senior leadership level Desired Skills: Prior experience in Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Wealth Management Knowledge of front-office platforms and workflows: OMS, PMS, and risk engines Experience with ETF platforms and fund lifecycle processes Familiarity with Snowflake, Python, and event-driven architecture Exposure to regulatory reporting, ESG data pipelines, or performance attribution systems Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
