Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their physical limitations and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with patients' recovery goals and expectations.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modality application to enhance patient care.
- Monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and home exercise programs to promote long-term health.
- Maintain clear and accurate patient records in accordance with the best practices of documentation within electronic health records (EHR).
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will focus primarily on outpatient orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient base, enabling you to tailor your therapeutic approaches effectively to meet individual needs. Your contribution will directly impact patient recovery trajectories and overall satisfaction with their rehabilitation experiences.
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association, in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) from the Physical Therapy Examining Committee in New Jersey.
- At least 2 years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience is required.
- Exceptional manual therapy skills, including proficiency in soft tissue mobilization techniques.
- Effective assessment and evaluation skills tailored for a "Direct Access" model, allowing direct patient access to physical therapy services.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, candidates with experience in specialized orthopedic fields such as sports therapy or post-operative rehabilitation will be preferred. Demonstrable experience in developing treatment protocols or leading small group therapy sessions would also be advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and performance. In addition to direct compensation, our benefits package includes:
