Work Environment

As an onsite role in our outpatient office, the Orthopedic Rehabilitation Specialist will work directly with patients in a warm and welcoming environment. A typical workweek consists of 40 scheduled hours, with the potential for variable weekend shifts to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients experiencing orthopedic functional limitations or disabilities, and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare providers to facilitate a cohesive continuum of care for each patient, including consultations regarding adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate with patients from diverse backgrounds, respecting their unique needs and maintaining a high standard of customer service throughout their treatment journey.
  • Document all evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge plans in accordance with relevant legal and professional standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness in electronic health records.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives and internal quality improvement measures, contributing to marketing efforts and the development of new rehabilitation programs.
  • Engage in professional development activities such as attending workshops and pursuing continuing education to enhance clinical skills.
  • Supervise and provide clinical education for physical therapy students and support staff, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Regularly assess treatment effectiveness, adjusting plans as needed to maximize patient outcomes and maintain compliance with established protocols.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to junior therapists and staff members to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Maintain licensure, adhering to all regulatory requirements and practices established by the state board.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Rehabilitation Specialist will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
  • A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and proficient computer skills are important.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred.
  • Experience in leading community health initiatives or outreach programs will be considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with current evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
