Work Environment

The role is based in our outpatient office, designed to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere where patients feel comfortable and supported during their recovery journey. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and resources, allowing our team to implement advanced therapeutic techniques effectively. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to determine their specific physical therapy needs based on medical history and physical examination.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's rehabilitation goals, ensuring effective recovery and mobility enhancement.
  • Utilize diverse therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to alleviate pain, improve function, and increase strength.
  • Provide patient education regarding exercise protocols, rehabilitation techniques, and prevention strategies to empower individuals in their recovery journey.
  • Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure continuity of treatment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment modifications within our electronic health record system.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and collaborate on treatment strategies with colleagues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Specialist, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in guiding patients towards successful rehabilitation outcomes, easing their pain, and helping them regain their functional independence.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid Physical Therapist License in the State of California.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of orthopedic conditions and their treatment methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective education and rapport-building with patients and team members.
  • A strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A dedication to ongoing professional development and education to stay current in the field of physical therapy.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
  • Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification highly desirable.
  • Experience with various rehabilitation technologies and techniques.
Compensation and Benefits
