Empower Concierge Rehab and PT is actively seeking a skilled and passionate Sports Physical Therapist (DPT) to join our team in Pompano Beach, Florida. Work Environment
You will be working onsite at our rehabilitation center located in the vibrant community of Pompano Beach, Florida. This facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and treatment spaces designed to support a wide range of rehabilitation activities. You'll be joining a team of dynamic healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, orthopedic specialists, and allied health staff, all of whom share a commitment to evidence-based practices and patient wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients, establishing a detailed understanding of their physical capabilities and limitations.
- Design and implement comprehensive, individualized rehabilitation programs that address specific injuries, integrating advanced therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and sport-specific exercises.
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine doctors, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans and ensure cohesive care across disciplines.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to track patient progress, documenting outcomes and modifying treatment approaches as needed to achieve optimal results.
- Provide education and resources to patients and their families about injury prevention, performance enhancement strategies, and health maintenance, fostering a proactive approach to their rehabilitation journey.
- Engage in community outreach initiatives promoting sports health and injury prevention, raising awareness of our services and encouraging healthy lifestyles among local athletes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on athletes of all levels, from amateur to elite, as well as active individuals engaged in sports and fitness activities. This role is pivotal in addressing sports-related injuries, providing rehabilitation, and educating clients on best practices to enhance their physical performance while preventing future injuries.
Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- Current Florida PT license or eligibility to obtain one prior to your start date.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience specializing in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy.
- A Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) certification or intention to achieve this certification is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and motivational skills, fostering a supportive environment for patients.
- Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working directly with athletes, specifically in an outpatient sports rehabilitation setting.
- Familiarity with injury prevention programs and performance enhancement protocols.
- Previous engagement in mentorship or teaching within a clinical setting.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges between $90,000 and $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
