Work Environment
The role will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Dulles, Virginia. Our facility is equipped with the latest technology and resources to support comprehensive physical therapy treatments. The environment is collaborative, fostering teamwork among healthcare professionals to enhance the rehabilitation experience for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients by reviewing medical histories, performing clinical assessments, and developing tailored treatment plans.
- Effectively communicate evaluation results and treatment protocols to both patients and their families, promoting involvement in the goal-setting process.
- Implement evidence-based treatment strategies and protocols, adapting to individual patient needs and the current healthcare landscape.
- Consult with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care, addressing any changes in the patient's condition and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
- Facilitate discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care outside the rehabilitation center.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to marketing efforts aimed at promoting our rehabilitation services within the community.
- Engage in continuing education to further personal and organizational growth, while also serving as a clinical instructor to train and mentor students.
- Proactively identify barriers affecting patient access and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving patient throughput and satisfaction.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The ideal candidate will work primarily with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Our focus on patient-centered care means that you will help guide patients through their rehabilitation journeys, leveraging your expertise to motivate and empower them towards their recovery goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
- Active state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
- Current American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Preferred Experience
While prior experience in an outpatient setting is not mandatory, candidates with a background in orthopedic physical therapy or sports rehabilitation are highly desirable. We value diverse experiences and are open to new approaches in patient care.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
