S.A. Morman is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare material quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects throughout Michigan. This position works closely with our Sales team to provide accurate, timely estimates for Construction Mangers and General Contractors.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret architectural drawings and project specificationsPrepare accurate, detailed material quantity takeoffs based on project scopeReview bid documents to identify project requirements and potential issuesWork closely with the Sales team to ensure bids are completed accurately and on timeCommunicate effectively and professionally with customers, contractors, coworkers and managementIdentify and solve problems throughout the estimating processManage multiple bids and priorities simultaneouslyUtilize Microsoft Office programs and other estimating tools as required Qualifications
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExceptional attention to detail and accuracyProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with a teamPrevious estimating or commercial construction experience preferred Benefits
