Description: Work with the Global Divisional and Corporate Accounting & Finance groups to help ensure M&A-related transactions are appropriately accounted for, supported, reconciled, and reported while providing visibility to financial performance. Some responsibilities; • Interpret M&A financial terms and translate contractual requirements into effective accounting processes, financial schedules, and internal controls. • Develop and maintain financial controls and supporting documentation to promote accuracy and completeness of M&A-related financial activity and compliance with established Finance and Accounting policies. • Coordinate M&A billing activities, including validation of charges, supporting calculations and documentation, invoice reconciliation, and resolution of billing discrepancies. • Support the establishment and execution of accounting processes for M&A-related activity, including appropriate account mapping, accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring M&A-related transactions are recorded accurately, completely, and in the appropriate accounting period. • Partner with Accounting and Controllership resources to evaluate and resolve accounting matters arising from M&A activity. • Partner with service owners and Global Finance teams to validate costs, allocations, and charges and help ensure appropriate and timely cost recovery. • Support financial tracking, analysis, and reporting for services provided under the M&A agreement • Maintain appropriate supporting documentation and audit trails for key calculations, accounting entries, billing activity, reconciliations, and management judgments. • Support internal and external audit requests related to M&A financial activity, as applicable. Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities: Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements. Qualifications Undergraduate degree required; finance-related degree • 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, controllership, FP&A, or a related Finance/Accounting discipline • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, period-end close processes, account reconciliations, and internal controls. • Strong attention to detail with an ability to maintain appropriate financial documentation and support. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively partner across Finance, Accounting, and business functions. Have worked in an ERP, matrix environment SAP environment Preferred Requirements: • Experience supporting a merger/acquisition, integration, carve-out, or other significant business transition • Experience with contractual service arrangements. • Experience working within a large, matrixed organization.
