Oracle APEX Developer & Database Specialist Location: Orlando, FL Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: $44/hour Contract Length: Long-term opportunity C2C: Not available Sponsorship: Not available Job Overview We are seeking an Oracle APEX Developer & Database Specialist to join our team in Orlando, FL. This is a hands-on opportunity for a motivated technology professional with experience in Oracle APEX, SQL, PL/SQL, database design, and data modeling. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders, gathering requirements, developing solutions, troubleshooting issues, and supporting applications through the full development lifecycle. We are looking for someone who is proactive, responsive, business-oriented, and customer-focused, with a genuine interest in understanding how technology supports business processes. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database solutions. Develop and enhance applications using Oracle APEX. Create and maintain SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and database objects. Perform database design and data modeling. Gather business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Work directly with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions. Configure and support application security, user roles, permissions, and access. Troubleshoot application and database issues and identify root causes. Provide ongoing technical support to end users across multiple regions. Participate in application testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancements. Take ownership of projects and assignments from requirements through implementation and support. Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and iterative development processes. Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to continuously improve applications and processes. Required Skills & Experience Approximately 1-2 years of professional experience in Oracle database development, Oracle APEX development, or a related role. Strong knowledge of Oracle Database. Strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills. Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX. Experience with database design and data modeling. Experience gathering business requirements and converting them into technical solutions. Understanding of application security, user roles, and access management. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and end users. Strong customer-service mindset and responsiveness. Preferred Skills Experience with any of the following is a plus: Snowflake Alteryx Power BI GitLab HTML/CSS Agile/Scrum methodologies What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Takes ownership and follows assignments through to completion. Works well in an Agile/Scrum environment. Work Schedule This is a hybrid position in Orlando, Florida. Candidates must be able to work onsite at the Orlando office three (3) days per week. This position is not available as a fully remote role.
