You'll work with project managers, engineers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to shape bids, identify project risks, and find practical cost-saving options. Job Details Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project scope. Perform quantity takeoffs and estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes. Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates and bid proposals. Identify cost, schedule, and project risks, and recommend value-engineering options. Work with project managers, engineers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to clarify requirements. Support contract negotiations and pricing for change orders. Maintain estimating tools and cost data; compare estimated costs with project results. Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs as needed. Build relationships with industry contacts that may contribute to future project opportunities. Qualifications At least 5 years of construction estimating experience. Estimating experience in CSI Divisions 3, 4, and 7. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Experience preparing competitive bids and working with project budgets. Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift, or similar tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office. Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines with close attention to detail.
