Accounts Payable Specialist Industry: Civil Construction Employment Type: Temporary / Potential Temp-to-Hire Pay rate - $25-$30 Position Overview Seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a construction company in El Monte. The ideal candidate has full-cycle A/P experience, including invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and job costing. Construction accounting experience highly preferred. Key Responsibilities • Process full-cycle A/P, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payments. • Match invoices with purchase orders and subcontractor agreements. • Handle construction job costing, subcontractor billing, and lien waivers. • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies. • Process check runs, ACH payments, and maintain vendor records. • Assist with month-end close, GL reconciliations, and accounting support. • Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors. Qualifications • 2+ years of accounts payable experience preferred. • Construction accounting experience highly preferred. • Knowledge of job costing, subcontractor invoices, and lien waivers. • Experience with Sage 300/Timberline, Viewpoint, or QuickBooks a plus. • Proficient in Excel, invoice matching, and vendor reconciliations. • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
