• The role is a part of the Corporate Tax team within our Finance divison.
• The Tax Manager will collaborate with the headquarters tax team and provide leadership in compliance, planning, business advisory, and related tax matters.
• This position is typically focused on multiple, and often complex, tasks and related business issues.

• Supports the Senior Manager, Transaction tax, as well as the Director of Corporate Tax on a variety of tax matters.

• Manages team workload for tax compliance, estimated payments, audits and various financial processes.

• Reviews (may also prepare) Federal and state transaction tax returns and tax related computations supporting various reporting processes, business operations and business transactions.

• Assists in managing state transaction tax audits and develops proposed resolution of issues raised.

• Assists in the development and recommendation of tax planning projects for implementation.

• Prepares and/or reviews tax computations and memoranda supporting financial accruals and financial statement disclosures.

• Serves as an active and valued business partner in regards to tax matters.

• Applies professional-level technical knowledge, skills, experience, and judgment to accomplish results.

• Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and procedures.

• Plays a supporting role on transactions, projects, controversies, regulatory developments and legislative analysis depending on the circumstances and skill set required.

• Carries out assignments received in the form of objectives and works with supervisor in developing goals and action steps that will meet those objectives.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similarly related field
• 5+ years of progressive tax experience, including at least 2 years of Public Accounting practice

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Master's degree in Taxation
• Corporate Tax department experience a plus

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• CPA or active CPA candidate preferred
• Strong managerial skills with previous supervisory experience required
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills, especially in MS Excel; SAP; OneSource Indirect Tax and Alteryx required
• Strong technical (in one or more tax areas), analytical, research, and organizational skills.
• Must be proficient in tax automation software and have a proven track record in implementing identified efficiency initiatives.
