Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Senior Controller to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is critical to our success and requires a professional who is passionate about driving financial performance, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and managing complex accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GAAP, manufacturing industry, cost accounting, inventory accounting, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. With a minimum of 5+ years of experience, the candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial management strategy and contribute to our ambitious growth plans. Why join us? Overseeing all accounting operations, including cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. 2. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. 3. Ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. 4. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements. 5. Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting. 6. Researching technical accounting issues for compliance. 7. Supporting month-end and year-end close process. 8. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. 9. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. 10. Performing variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. 11. Collaborating with the management team to understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable. 2. Minimum of 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience in a senior role. 3. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller in the manufacturing industry. 4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. 5. Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions. 6. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. 7. Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and variance analysis. 8. Experience in the food industry is a plus. 9. Strong analytical skills to manage large amounts of data. 10. Attention to detail and accuracy. 11. Ability to direct and supervise. 12. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
