Job Title: Software Developers Location: Richmond, VA Employer: 4Consulting, Inc Position Type: Full Time Worksite: Remote Position Summary 4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client's project requirements and company delivery standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for: Translate business requirements into business rules, Blaze Rule Templates, business object models, rule flows, decision tables, and other rule-engine components to support automated underwriting solutions. Lead the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of FICO Blaze Advisor applications, including rule administration, server management, production support, and Java web service or EJB integrations. Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including project planning, staff assignment coordination, progress monitoring, technical documentation, solution recommendations, and customer delivery coordination. Mentor and train junior developers and support personnel, troubleshoot application issues, enforce software quality processes, and evaluate rule-engine migration and scaling approaches. Minimum Qualifications The position requires: Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience 18+ years of overall IT experience, including 10+ years of experience developing business rules using FICO Blaze Advisor. Strong expertise in rule modeling, Blaze administration, Java integration, automated decisioning, application deployment, and production support. Technical Skills FICO Blaze Advisor, Business Rules Engine (BRE), Rule Modeling, Rule Templates, Rule Flows, Decision Tables, Rule Maintenance Application (RMA), Java, Web Services, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) Business / Domain Skills Experience supporting automated underwriting and enterprise decisioning systems, including translating business policies, eligibility criteria, and decision logic into configurable business rules. Experience designing, developing, enhancing, and integrating enterprise applications, APIs, interfaces, workflows, batch processes, and data-processing components supporting government programs. Experience supporting decision rules management, rule validation, production decision processes, and business rule maintenance across application development and operational environments. Experience leading enterprise software delivery, coordinating technical teams and customer stakeholders, managing implementation decisions, and supporting rule-engine migration and solution scalability. Communication Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders. Documentation Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
